Signing up of a memorandum of agreement between the Tissue Biobank at the Health Sciences Research Center at Princess Noura University, represented by the head of the department, Dr. Alaa Al Masoud, and the Saudi Society of Cytotechnology and Histotechnology, represented by the Chairman of the Society’s Board of Directors, Abdulbasit bin Abdul Samad Andijani.

Under the endorsement of the Director General of Health Affairs at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University the advanced imaging unit Nourah’s Tissue Biobank launched the Micro CT scan service platform to accept and perform scanning and analysis of researcher’s samples. This is attributed to Nourah’s Tissue Biobank vision to enable the advancement of health science research in the region by providing all the resources available and personnel experiences to all researchers who require it.

Nourah’s Tissue Biobank was pleased to welcome the first patch of students from Princess Nourah bint Abdulraham University into the section. The visit was conducted on December 2022 from college of science. The visit included a thorough and detailed program to teach the students about the scanning electron microscope and transmission electron microscope and their applications in the research field. This visit marked the initiation of the Nourah’s Tissue Biobank training program that aspires to advance and share the knowledge amongst students of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University and other universities.
