Our experienced logistics team will ensure that we provide a high-quality service and we will work with national and international institutes and, a network of principal investigators, to source and collect samples from multi-center hospitals and other biobanks. All the samples collected in the field are carefully transported to our facility using the best techniques for preservation. We will make sure bio-specimens will be accurately and quickly registered upon arrival. Than will be added to our online database with accurate, up-to-date information we know researchers will need. Nourah’s Tissue Biobank will be powered by our proprietary LMS system and will connect all facets of our business into one platform. It facilitates smooth and efficient processes between Nourah’s Tissue Biobank, hospitals, and researchers.
The Tissue Biobank services and resources are made available to researchers to advance health-related Science. To gain access to the services requesters must complete the registration form. The request will be reviewed by the Tissue Biobank scientific committee and once it's approved candidate can apply for access to the services and resources provided.
Cytopathology
The advanced Cytology Unit at Nourah’s Tissue Biobank is a specialized facility focused onthe detailed examination of cellular samples. The unit adheres to standardizedquality control measures to ensure precise and reliable cytological analysis.
The advanced cytology unit offers:
• Cell Sample Processing and Fixation – Preparing specimens for microscopic evaluation while preservingcellular integrity.
• Smear Preparation and Cytocentrifugation – Generating high-quality cell samples for in-depth cytologicalassessment.
• Staining Techniques – Enhancing cellular structures to facilitate the identificationof morphological and molecular features.
• Light Microscopy – Delivering high-resolutionimaging for cellular analysis and diagnostic evaluation.
Histopathology
The Advanced HistopathologyUnit at Nourah’sTissue Biobank is a specialized facility dedicated to the comprehensiveanalysis of tissue samples. The unit follows standarised quality control measures, ensuringaccurate histological analysis.
The advanced histopathology unit includes:
TissueProcessing and Embedding – Preparing samples for microscopicexamination by preserving structural integrity.
Microtomy and Cryosectioning –Producing thin tissue sections (fixed or fresh) for detailed histologicalanalysis.
Staining – Enhancing tissue contrastto identify cellular and molecular components.
Light Microscopy – Providinghigh-resolution imaging for tissue morphology and pathological assessments.
Advanced Imaging
The advanced imaging unit at Nourah’s Tissue Biobank offers an excellent set of state-of-the-art instruments providing high quality services for health sciences researchers, the unit includes:

- Transmission Electron Microscope.

- Micro CT Skyscan.
Storage Services
Nourah’s Tissue Biobank provides storage facilities that are monitored 24 hours a day maintaining a backup power system while performing regular system check-ups and routine environmental factors checks that can affect sample quality to ensure high quality. We will have the capability to not only store our own specimens but also the ability to warehouse your critical specimens through our cold-chain logistics platform.
