Nourah's Tissue Biobank would like to thank you for volunteering in our Biobank Program. This participation is not a consent form and filling it doesn't mean you fully participated. All participation is voluntary, and you are not under any obligation to participate.
What is A biobank ?
Nourah's Tissue Biobank is a biorepository used to store biological samples and health information data. The biological samples and health information collected will be made available to researchers and scientists to understand the cause of different types of diseases, how to treat and prevent these types of diseases as well as how to manage its complications.
What is required from you?
To participate in Nourah's Tissue Biobank, you are required to donate a biological sample and health information, you'll be informed of all the biobank activities and be able to ask every question you want at our donation center. Your Participation with us is completely voluntary and you will not gain any benefits, and you can withdraw from the Nourah's Tissue Biobank at any time without any effect on your health care.
What will happen to your information and biological sample?
We expect to receive access requests from researchers within and outside Saudi Arabia. However, the information from the Biobank in its coded form will be available only to researchers who have received Approval from both the Research Ethics Committee and Research Scientific committee for their research. The researchers will sign agreements with the Biobank. These agreements will control how your samples and data will be used. They will not be permitted to disclose or to transfer your samples and data to anyone else. They will also not be permitted to use your samples or data for purposes other than those included in the agreements. Researchers will also agree that they will not attempt to re-identify you from your samples and data.
